1 Samuel 3:13

13 aAnd I declare to him that I am about to punish his house forever, for the iniquity that he knew, bbecause his sons were blaspheming God,
Or  blaspheming for themselves
dand he did not restrain them.

2 Samuel 23:6-7

6But worthless men
Hebrew worthlessness
are all like thorns that are thrown away,
for they cannot be taken with the hand;
7but the man who touches them
arms himself with iron and the shaft of a spear,
and they are utterly consumed with fire.”

Nehemiah 13:19

19As soon as it gbegan to grow dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, that no load might be brought in on the Sabbath day.

Nehemiah 13:25

25 hAnd I confronted them and cursed them and beat some of them and pulled out their hair. iAnd I made them take an oath in the name of God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters to their sons, or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.

Romans 13:3-4

3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you lwill receive his approval, 4for mhe is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, nan avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.
